How and when do i switch my baby from formula to whole milk?

he will be 1 year old in 2 weeks. Can i switch to whole milk then instead of formula? Do i just stop formula and do only the milk then? or do i gradualy start giving him som milk while still on formula and then gradually take out the formula completely?
