I am getting MAILER-DAEMON "Failure Notices" from Yahoo?

I am sending short e-mails to people using either "reply", or, using my contact list, to e-mail people where I know the address is correct (I have communicated with them frequently, and recently). I am getting back notices of "unreachable for too long". What could be wrong?
