Have you ever thought on Ni Hao Kai Lan Stompy said "You may 开始" when it was actually "预备 开始?"?
For a while there, I thought Stompy was saying "You may 开始" as in meaning like "You may begin" but it actually turned out today when I looked at the captions she actually said "预备 开始!" Which means "Get ready, go" instead. Since Chinese is not my native language or not just that, on the Inuyasha ending Come, I thought I heard "Again Again Again, I get the feeling, again, again, again, I get the feeling" when it was actually "I get, I get, I get, I get the feeling, I get, I get, I get, I get the feeling, ただそのまま" and etc. etc. So it's not just Chinese. It's probably things that sound English even in a different language.
